When discussing orgasm disorders in women, it should be noted that there are two types.  Primary anorgasmia refers toa woman who has never had an orgasm.  A woman who has had orgasms previously, but cannot now achieve orgasm, suffers from secondary anorgasmia.  In general, it is believed that primary anorgasmia is an anxiety condition, best treated by sex therapy.  Medications, hormonal imbalances and genetics can also cause primary anorgasmia.  The number one cause of secondary anorgasmia is lack of adequate stimulation.  Because many women cannot reach orgasm with penetration only, clitoral stimulation is necessary.  It is also recommended that the woman should climax first to stimulate lubrication, making intercourse less painful.
